Here at Douglass Nissan of Waco, we strongly believe that it is important to be involved in the community. We enjoy having the opportunity to network with people and other organizations of Waco. An organization is only as good as the people who make it and we greatly appreciate the community that has allowed us to operate and be where we are today. We plan to continue participating in various events to show how appreciative we are of the great community of Waco.

Hey Howdy Hey, we delivered 500 Box Combos to the hospitals in the Waco area this year! Douglass Automotive Group would like to thank the health-care professionals in our community that continue to dedicate their time and efforts to fight the battle against COVID-19. Douglass Nissan was invited to become a sponsor in the second annual Mid-Tex Farm, Ranch and Garden show. We brought out some vehicles from our model line-up to showcase their ability as farm and/or ranch equipment. We developed new relationships and reconnected with some of our previous customers who attended the show. We provided each guest that stopped by our table with a vast selection of seeds for the next garden season. The Mid-Tex Farm, Ranch and Garden Show was the first event that we have been able to participate in since the COVID-19 pandemic. We are grateful to have had the opportunity to be a part of another success event hosted by the Greater Waco Chamber.

We understand that the year of 2020 has been a hard year for a lot of people. We felt that it was extremely important to give back to the Waco community this holiday season. We set a goal to ensure that our local food bank was restored with food items before the big Thanksgiving holiday. We reached out to our friend Billy, the produce manager at the HEB in Woodway, and arranged a grocery pick-up with the food items recommended by Caritas. We then placed a Nissan Titan on our showroom floor and encouraged our customers to donate for 10% off their total in service or $250 off their vehicle purchase. We had great success in this collection and was able to donate hundreds of pounds of food to the Caritas food bank. Thank you Mrs. Mary Beth Kauk for granting us the opportunity to participate and for organizing a seamless delivery.

Partnering with the Greater Chamber of Waco, we participated in the Mid-Tex Farm, Ranch and Garden this year. We set up a booth and brought out various Nissan models to the Extraco Events Center here in Waco. Our goal was to showcase our Nissan Titan and show everyone what all it has to offer. Throughout the day, we spent time talking to people from Waco and the surrounding areas and we had so much fun doing so. Towards the end of the event, we also held a race for any kid that wanted to participate. We held three different races and the winner of each race was awarded their very own ride-on Nissan GT-R. We greatly appreciated the opportunity and have enjoyed being a sponsor of the Mid-Tex show this year.
